People ask how I do illustrations at very small pixelart resolutions. The trick is practice. The exercise TO practice is this:
1.draw your character
2. halve the resolution (you can't fit all the details; pick what to keep)
3. halve again to 1/4. After that, 1/2 res feels roomy

Got reports that my game jam bat/billiards game had wonky physics, so I made them air-tight
- axis-separated collision with the walls
- then separate circle vs circle collision iterating all entities
- then velocity modification (friction, speed clamp)
Playtesters are gold.
