10 years ago my wife, the mum of our kids & the MP for Batley&Spen was killed by a far right extremist.
At anniversaries I try to be optimistic about the future. But not this time. In the ten years since she was killed we have gone backwards & I fear our democracy is now at risk

Warwickshire County Cricket Club is saddened to learn of the passing of Bears wicketkeeper-batter Keith Piper at the age of 56.
Piper was part of the playing staff at Warwickshire for 16 years before taking up a role as Second XI coach, and was a key member of the treble-winning team of 1994.

This might be a controversial opinion but I do not think people should be travelling at 50mph in cycle lanes. Or even using 50mph capable vehicles in them. That is simply too fast for a place where the average user is probably travelling at 10-15mph.
