#Iran is not competing under equal conditions. Since the
#war began in February, the team has not had normal preparation or any match. Now they are being forced to operate from Tijuana while their matches are in the U.S.
For Los Angeles, the full trip took around six hours with airport procedures, border issues, security, buses, and logistics. After the
#NewZealand match, instead of resting like other teams, they had to go back to
#Tijuana. That is around 12 hours of travel for one match. They have to do the same again for
#Belgium, then go all the way to Seattle for
#Egypt, which could easily take 8 to 10 hours ONE WAY!
So while other teams are resting, training, and recovering, Iran is losing days to travel, border crossings, and disrupted sleep. New Zealand was allowed to train on the grass they played on. Iran was not. That is not fair competition and feels so far from sportsmanship.
@FIFAWorldCup is allowing the host country,
#UnitedStates to shape Iran’s fatigue, preparation, and recovery. That is how you influence a World Cup result without touching the ball. This should be illegal for any host country.
