How I published zero first-author papers during 2023: - All the data were already collected - 5 papers could have come from all that data - I read mostly manuscripts I am reviewing and student assignments - I write mostly emails

Me and @J_Gladstone7 trying to find Room 115 and literally going in circles… why is the signage so confusing at #AERA2024?!

..I just read a reviewer suggestion ("You could provide links to open data and include an activity for students") and remembered @openstatslab , where students can practice statistical tests on real data from badged @PsychScience articles! Still awesome: sites.google.com/view/openst…

Ahem, Cannoli the Terrier would like your ✨attention✨ because the next Barking up the Tree #researchacorn is here! Coincidentally, Cannoli is barking about attention & math anxiety 🎙️🐕 This study was co-authored by @DrZheWang, another faculty member at Texas A&M!

So here's my last minute pitch for you to come to the symposium @drmuenks and I organized on Broadening the Assessment of Mindsets at 8am tomorrow #AERA2023
Replying to @drmuenks
For those there bright & early on Thursday morning, @michaelmbarger and I are chairing a session on the measurement of mindset, with LAMB lab member Luke Rutten sharing some really novel work on beliefs about the malleability of growth itself. 📈🧠

Our first #researchacorn is out! Shout-out to my UG lab manager Lillian for her work on this. Dissemination of research has been a goal of mine since grad school (thanks @saraannhart for instilling this!). Hoping to highlight work from different studies in the field each month!
The first Barking up the Tree #researchacorn is here, and Cannoli is barking about children’s career aspirations! 🎙️🐕 She’s glad she found this one to start with because Dr. Barroso (one of the authors) could help her understand it.

Excited for my lab to have mascots with a mission, ones that are both relatable (Cannoli) and honorable (Dr. Squirrel) 😊 We’ll have Cannoli’s first bark about research out tomorrow!
Meet the BEAM Research Lab mascots: Cannoli the Terrier and Dr. Squirrel, a developmental squirrel-scientist! Cannoli’s mission: catch Dr. Squirrel. Dr. Squirrel’s mission: teach Cannoli about developmental psychology through her research acorns. 🐿️🥼 🌲 🐕
