Powering National Security through Clean Energy ☀️ In a landmark step towards strengthening India's energy security and sustainability goals, Hon'ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has approved the establishment of a 250 MW Solar Power Project with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Sitapur (Ex-Cantonment), Uttar Pradesh, on approximately 850 acres of vacant defence land. The project highlights the crucial role of the Directorate General Defence Estates (DGDE) in facilitating the optimal utilisation of defence land for nation-building initiatives.
