And why blame Sarvam for this? In an ecosystem where venture funding is as good as non-existent, if someone tries to find some money and tries to protect his turf, what's the problem in that? Ask for loosening pockets, not for early bird advantage. x.com/vidyamadhavan2/status/…

One of the blunders India has done as a country is to declare Sarvam, which is yet to find its footing as the sovereign frontier AI response. Sarvam’s exclusive mandate is not public good - unlike UPI or other public infrastructure projects. It’s a VC funded company which is being given unfair advantage at the cost of other similar VC backed private companies which could perhaps do better with similar support and data from the govt! We are killing competition and declaring Sarvam as the best thing India could do too soon !

The mindset. Nothing can and will change these people.

The ten thousand hoops we go through even though it is outright rejected by reputed archaeologists. We will never accept ground observations but live in our realms of fantasies. x.com/LalitAditya1212/status…

Wood was not as widely available in either Central Asia or the Indus Valley, which is why burial was the predominant method. As they entered the Gangetic plains, wood was much more abundant. Cremation became the predominant custom. It also coincided with theological evolution: the god of fire, Agni, was reimagined as a divine messenger who consumed the physical body and purified the soul to carry it to the heavens (as seen in Rigveda 10.16).

Real question is when will Centre act to contain this kind of nonsense. Factories, development - target everything and then dance on the corpse of employment. Every such drama should have a cost to exchequer number associated with it, and along with it, who benefits discussion. x.com/NDTVProfitIndia/status…

Tamil Nadu’s pollution regulator has warned of possible action against Tata Electronics’ Hosur facility after inspections allegedly found groundwater contamination linked to wastewater discharge from the plant. The factory manufactures key iPhone components and plays a crucial role in Apple’s India manufacturing ambitions. Tata, however, says independent testing found it to be fully compliant with environmental norms.

Sterlite - we know the damage it's exit caused to local economy and national economy. Did pollution picture change after Sterlite? No. That road expansion. People will lose farms. I was scolding someone for arguing why not accept alternate route proposed by TN govt even though it is longer. Simple question - how many litres of extra diesel burnt and scale it, no answer. Sivakasi and the crusade to destroy it - we know that. Do we know how many jobs are directly impacted if that happens? And now this. I really want to know what are these people thinking and what exactly do they want to achieve.

What were the primary charges against Karl Doenitz? Irony is, those who wrote those rules are exactly doing the same.

I just don't understand this. In Oriya and Hindi, we still write Baleshwar. So, what's the logic in this changing? x.com/FrontalForce/status/20…

BIG The Odisha Cabinet has approved the renaming of 64 places across 26 districts to restore their authentic Odia spellings and pronunciations. Several names altered during the colonial era will now reflect their original linguistic and cultural identity. Example- Balasore will become Baleshwar 🔥

I don't know whether situation changed now, but two decades before, when some alumni wanted to fund a new hostel in my college, the management asked for a bribe. Don't blame the alumni. Look at the facilitation channels. x.com/kishorelive/status/206…

If you care about India put $100M into setting up a research lab at a top tier university in India. Instead we have people funding their alma matter in the US.

A good but short guide to the conceptual framework is Sri Aurobindo’s Secret of the Vedas if you are interested in an esoteric interpretation.

Checked four translations of Rg Veda - both in Angrezi and in vernacular, both Indian and Occidental. All of them lacking something or the other. You really need to read it in Sanskrit - that's more sensible than searching for a proper translation. And that really takes some serious effort.

A person goes to India's cricket coach and asks him to teach him cricket. Will he? Doesn't that become moonlighting and doesn't that challenge his employer loyalty? This Karna-Drona topic is a non issue and should be ignored with mock contempt. x.com/6amiji/status/20653545…

Have said this so many times, and I realise the distortions have become so entrenched that have to keep saying it again and again - Karna wasn't denied education by Dronacharya. Mahabharat is absolutely clear about it. He refused Ekalavya, but not Karna.

These people rarely make sense but when they make sense, they make real sense. The gathering of the lives of all humanity into their own data centers by global monopolies, whose sole purpose is profit maximization, is an insidious blow struck against the sovereignty of nations and societies. One does not need to be a prophet to see what this siege will turn into tomorrow. This is the modern world's decree of voluntary slavery. That is exactly why, instead of surrendering our data to the servers of giant global monopolies, we must implement distributed learning and processing architectures. -Selcuk Bayraktar

You don't have such luxurious stretches in Indian cities. Because Indian wild has real animals - bare minimum, snakes.
