LBJ NATIONAL GRASSLANDS: 20,250 acres of land purchased by the US Department of the Interior during the 1930s in an effort to return poor performing farmland into native prairie habitat. This semester, it provides the sites for our 2nd year project, a landscape writer's retreat.
