One day ill write a story about the absolutely insane journey we went through to design and build something in China 🇨🇳, and get it shipped and landed in Zambia 🇿🇲. Nonetheless, many tea ceremonies later, goods are here and we keep building. Can't wait to reveal what's been cooking for almost a year. Keep an eye out for what @_HrvstApp is launching. Couldn't have said it better myself. Tremendous opportunity in this space. There's an unbelievable amount of guess work and obscurity that makes it easy to corrupt the system. Any system where obfuscation is a feature not a bug, probably has a very high degree of inflated and unnecessary costs.

Bro, I think part of the issue is that everyone’s reading the same books and listening to the same procurement “gurus.” 😅 The real breakthrough might come from treating supply chains like tech systems — real-time data flows, predictive routing, and transparency layers

International supply chain management is not for the faint of heart. Currently learning some expensive lessons😫🤢🤕. But at least I've found what I'm going to spend the next 6-12months figuring out how to optimize. Any recommendations on courses or books are welcome.

Farming is one of the most heavily subsidized industries in Zambia. ZRA will allow you to import capital equipment at less tax charges, and farm produce doesn't attract VAT if unprocessed. Furthermore, income tax is only 10%. Why aren't more young people jumping into this?

This is so true, so much progress hampered by bureaucratic malpractice. Her experience is anchored to Senegal but Zambia has so many of the same issues. The system is entirely predicated on collecting fees, not providing a valuable service. You pay fees for licenses and certifications that serve no purpose and are easily circumvented through corruption, negating the justification for their existence. I'm sure many will argue, but the truth of the matter is it could be soooooooo much better.
