Every year, thousands of mothers face life-threatening complications from post-partum haemorrhage, severe bleeding after childbirth. In many cases, timely access to safe blood is the difference between life and death. By donating blood, you are not just giving a medical resource, you are giving a mother the chance to hold her newborn, a family the chance to stay whole, and a community the gift of hope. This World Blood Donor Day, let’s remember: 💧 One drop can save two lives — the mother and her child’s future. ❤️ Your generosity can stop preventable maternal deaths. 🌍 Together, we can ensure that no woman loses her life while giving life. Give Blood. Save Mothers. Protect Futures. #worldblooddonorday2026 #maternalhealth #safemotherhood #blooddonation

Did you know that a single pint of blood can save up to three lives? Without adequate blood in our blood banks, mothers experiencing complications during childbirth #PostpartumHaemorrhage, and patients undergoing surgery remain at risk. Nigeria is currently facing a severe shortage of safe blood supply. Our healthcare system requires over two million units of blood every year to support emergencies, surgeries, and ongoing treatments. However, in 2025, only about 500,000 units, less than half of what is needed, were available. This #WorldBloodDonorDay we encourage you to take action. 👉 Visit your nearest hospital or accredited blood donation center and DONATE BLOOD. Your action today could be the difference for someone in need. One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives. 🩸

Today, on National Cancer Survivors Day, we stand in solidarity with cancer survivors around the world. We celebrate the courage, resilience, and determination of those who have faced cancer and continue to thrive beyond diagnosis. Every survivor's journey is a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection, quality healthcare, strong support systems, and hope. We also honor caregivers, families, healthcare workers, and advocates who walk alongside survivors every step of the way. As we mark this day, let us recommit to raising awareness, reducing barriers to care, and creating healthier communities where everyone has the opportunity to live well and thrive. 18 years have shown us that there truly is no ‘I’ in team. Success is the result of the remarkable contributions of every member. Each person brings something unique to #CCSI, and our journey would not be complete without the unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment of everyone. This milestone is a testament to that collective spirit. We are proud of our team at CCSI and excited for the future we continue to build together.

Across communities, especially here in Nigeria, midwives are often the first and sometimes the only line of care for women and newborns. They stand at the frontline of safe deliveries, maternal health, family planning, and newborn care, saving lives every single day. But the reality is clear: there are not enough of them. A world with one million more midwives is a world where fewer mothers die giving life, where more babies take their first breath safely, and where communities are stronger and healthier. At CCSI, we recognize that improving health outcomes is not just about infrastructure or policies, it is about people. And midwives are central to that story. Today, we celebrate their dedication, resilience, and impact. And we join the global call to invest in, train, and support more midwives, because every mother and every child deserve care they can trust. #IDM2026 #OneMillionMoreMidwives #MaternalHealth #SafeMotherhood #CCSIImpact

CCSI attended the Women Deliver 2026 Conference in Melbourne, Australia. A global movement where over 6,000 delegates and global voices from different nations and diverse cultures converged in a powerful motion to accelerate global development forward, by amplifying women’s voices, dismantling barriers, and driving accountability. Conversations highlighted the urgency of placing women and girls at the center of decision-making, advancing access to health and rights, tackling the intersections of gender with climate and economic justice, and empowering youth leadership to boldly shape the future. The conference was a space for honest reflection. Stories were shared creating opportunities for collective learning and knowledge exchange. A recurring theme was the importance of strategic partnerships in driving meaningful and lasting impact. The conversations, energy, collaboration, and call to action will continue to inspire our work at CCSI long after the conference. #WD2026 #WomenDeliver2026

Climate adaptation is happening daily around us where communities are already shifting and innovating in response to the changes around us. The session on climate, culture, and communities at Women Deliver 2026 Conference emphasized that climate adaptation is deeply rooted in lived experiences, especially for frontline communities. Global actors must shift from imposing solutions to listening to local voices, resourcing, and amplifying local strategies. #WD2026 #ClimateAdaptation
