Dirty fuel has its place -- fear, anger, negative self-talk -- these can all become a form of motivation for all of us.
But I find that personally, even in extreme pressure, I just can't scare myself into doing things. At all.

Sometimes I honestly think I have undiagnosed ADHD and the reason why I'm great at coming up with productivity coping mechanisms for different scenarios is because I subconsciously created them to cope with my ADHD???

I know lots of people know about #BuildInPublic, but how about Destroy in Private?
That's what I like to call destroying old parts of me: mindset, attitudes, habits that no longer serve me.
AKA, Deep inner work. And it is SO hard. But so worth it.

Learnt this the more I coach others on productivity.
Sometimes the soil of the mind needs to be prepared before the seeds of productivity can be sown, so that the seeds have a better chance of flourishing.
Replace productivity with anything and it's still true.
