Thats cool and all but that doesnt change the fact that it made the nether an eyesore. Not in a "this place looks scary and ugly" way but in a "this place hurts my eyes and i dont wanna go here" way
The reason i prefer old netherrack is because it looks like a texture you would see in the overworld, but twisted to look fleshy
a familiar texture you once linked to safety has been turned into a gritty, fleshy block located in an unfamiliar and harsh environment

I think mojang deserves a lot of praise for todays preview, subtitles are getting more and more polished FINALLY and whether intentionally or not, with the single biome mention, they very well could be working on custom superflat again..

This was exactly what I thought when I saw the Caves and Cliffs joke pop up again.. like surely you know that we'll keep getting updates to caves and that caves and cliffs wasnt the last update, right...?

Caves and Cliffs joke made sence to a point. it was based of the 1.17 announcement and how the features that where announced have been split into 1.18, 1.19, 1.20 and the bundles of bravery drop. Calling anything else outside this "Cave and Cliff part XYZ" is missing the point

Im actually really, really fond of this drop. Ive been wanting more cave biomes for a while, and this one looks unique enough to add variety. Cubes are fire. Two things I wish for is its own hostile mob and the usability of sulphur as a crafting ingredient instead of a niche use

I would really hate if the slimes can't spawn naturally but have to be created instead.. like why go through making different slimes when you cant even see them jumping around in different biomes. Would be a huge missed opportunity for exploration

Name tags are no longer a max level trade from librarians, but since they were the only level 5 trade there the max level is just 4

Saying "minecrafts nametags being craftable is an issue" feels like ignoring the actual issue of structures in mimecraft just not being rewarding in general, that we asign a one time consumeable item, that really should just be craftable, arteficial valiue because looting sucks
