(agreeing with OP) if someone’s only crime is being cringe and you are imposing shame on them for this ESPECIALLY if you are a grown ass adult in your upper 20s-30s i think you are the problem and your own self-hatred is clear and hurting others.

i think it should be illegal to make fun of teenagers for having OSDDID even if they are objectively annoying or cringey because "cringe" =/= "faking" it will give them permanent trust issues and internalized ableism

i think it’s less helpful to list types of trauma to validate trauma as the event, not that the event(s) is/are not valid, but rather that it is more helpful to reinforce trauma as a physiobiological reality, i.e. if you have trauma responses it is trauma!

you don’t have to remember or qualify/quantify the event at all to process and heal from trauma. the research shows that forcing people to remember the events has no clinical benefits.

trauma is not what happened to you. it is a physiobiological reality. if the physiobiological impact is present, trauma is present.
taxonomizing trauma by listing what “counts” as trauma is not helpful in the long run. the “validity” of the event is not a stable view of trauma.

i think when we make trauma about events and the validity of those events, people who may not be ready to do so end up searching within themselves for the event. this is not necessary to reconcile trauma or to begin healing. it can be destabilizing.

some people may never remember the event(s). the remembering is not necessary in recognizing trauma in the body and working through it. we should reframe towards what the research shows about trauma informed care.

the system mapping on pluralspace is shockingly good and made me aware of patterns i never would’ve seen otherwise. i’m impressed with it as a simplyplural alternative and might honestly come to prefer it. high hopes for further development. <3

i wouldn't trade being plural for the world. i exist most comfortably alongside the other people i share my body and life with. it feels like a gift to not endure any of this alone, no matter our roles in easing or worsening our circumstances. approach the self with curiosity
