British mother/son were in the store, the husband is covering Spain.
In walks a fully kitted Scotsman, hears the accents & instantly starts up a conversation.
As soon as that happens, a couple in the store says, “we’re Australian!”

Won't lie, not a big fan of soccer matches in baseball stadiums. But I will say, Erlanger Park was built specifically to host a soccer teams and if you are are going to play a soccer match in a baseball stadium, you need to play it on July 4th, on the 250th anniversary of the USA

Braves fans lost Ted and Bobby in the same week. Those two were the architects of so many wonderful summer memories for those of us growing up in the South.

ALT We are overcome with emotion on the passing of Bobby Cox, our treasured skipper. Bobby was the best manager to ever wear a Braves uniform. He led our team to 14 straight division titles, five National League pennants, and the unforgettable World Series title in 1995. His Braves managerial legacy will never be matched. Bobby was a favorite among all in the baseball community, especially those who played for him. His wealth of knowledge on player development and the intricacies of managing the game were rewarded with the sport’s ultimate prize in 2014 - enshrinement into the Baseball Hall of Fame. And while Bobby's passion for the game was unparalleled, his love of baseball was exceeded only by his love for his family. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we send our sincerest condolences to his beloved wife, Pam, and their loving children and grandchildren.

As we stood on the 6th floor, toasting the new building with a glass of champagne, I remembered that just a few years ago we played a match against New Amsterdam FC at a decommisioned prison, complete with a guard tower in the background (I kid you not).
We've come a long way.

My crystal ball says that Atlanta is going to either Chattanooga or Knoxville.
I know this comes essentially comes down to a "coin flip" but let me just say, CFC has paid its dues in blood and sweat in over a decade of USOC matches, it is time for us to get an MLS team at home.
Note: This has a change from the originally announced MLS teams that are seeded home or away.
