News Release | SSAMC becomes a CFM LEAP Premier MRO shop Today we are increasing support for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for CFM LEAP engines thanks to a new Premier MRO shop! Sichuan Services Aero-engine Maintenance Company (SSAMC), a joint venture between Air China and CFM International, can officially provide services for all three CFM LEAP engine models. SSAMC is now authorized to overhaul the #CFMLEAP-1A, #CFMLEAP-1B, and #CFMLEAP-1C engines that power the Airbus A320neo family, Boeing 737 MAX , and COMAC C919 respectively. As part of our open MRO ecosystem, Premier MRO shops receive the highest level of CFM training, support, and exclusive access to proprietary repair technology. [#PressRelease] CFM #LEAP-1B engines to power up to 60 Boeing #737MAX aircraft for Copa Airlines    @CopaAirlines and @CFM_engines have finalized an agreement for LEAP-1B engines to power 40 @BoeingAirplanes 737 MAX aircraft, with options for 20 more, during a signing ceremony attended by Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino. With this agreement, Copa Airlines is growing its fleet to more than 120 aircraft with LEAP-1B engines.    Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines, said, "For Copa Airlines, the signing of this agreement represents a significant step toward continuing to strengthen our operations and the connectivity we provide from Panama. News Release | IAG and CFM expand LEAP support with new Premier MRO license IAG and CFM International have signed a CFM Premier MRO license covering #CFMLEAP-1A and #CFMLEAP-1B engines, reinforcing the global support ecosystem for CFM’s fastest-growing engines. Iberia’s La Muñoza facility in Madrid, with over 50 years of engine experience, will serve as a strategic hub. Capabilities will expand progressively, with first LEAP operations inductions planned for Q1 2027. “This agreement strengthens our international presence, consolidating our position among the leading global providers of engine maintenance for single-aisle aircraft,” said Marco Sansavini, CEO of Iberia. “Welcoming IAG to the Premier MRO network reflects our commitment to an open ecosystem and world-class support for airline customers,” added Gaël Méheust, president and CEO of CFM International. The new license will help operators optimise maintenance schedules, reduce turnaround times, and enhance engine performance.
