Family #caregivers were seen, heard and empowered on Dec. 16 at Camarillo Health Care District's inaugural Family Caregiver Symposium: "The Power of Care." The event was designed to uplift, educate, and empower the family caregivers who dedicate their time, energy and love to supporting others. Brenda Birdwell of Coast Caregiver Resource Center was the keynote speaker, talking about compassion fatigue, post-traumatic caregiving and ambiguous loss. A caregiver panel featured Janice Aharon-Ezer of Community Memorial Healthcare Caregiver Navigation Program, Michelle Rios of Coast Caregiver Resource Center and Jordana Lawrence of the Alzheimer's Association. Dani Klein Modisett, founder of Laughter on Call," was a special presenter, sharing "Finding Humor in the Everyday." July 16: Wonderful Waterfalls & Broadway Magic - Explore magnificent waterfalls around the world virtually, including a double waterfall vista. We'll also participate in a peaceful meditation behind a waterfall and explore waterfalls around the world. Camarillo Health Care District was among dozens of exhibitors on Saturday at the eighth annual Hope Walk organized by the @CSCVVSB. The event, held on the campus of @CalLutheran at the William Rolland Stadium in Thousand Oaks, featured music, health and wellness booths, snacks and a KidZone as participants walked in support of raising funds for cancer research and in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. Our CEO was among the walkers and the first to cross the finish line.
