The CER now needs to work with all stakeholders to establish legislated market based accounting for carbon offsets as negative scope 3 emissions. This needs to include basic debit and credit rules across creators, sectors and end use customers. ACCUs need to include the offset.

One thing that gives me hope is witnessing the large number of people around me starting to orient towards serving nature, the Earth, the planet. #COP26 may have been a huge disappointment, but people are waking up, and finding the ways they can act and contribute unique to them.

CORENA founder Margaret Hender recently won Zonta Club of Melbourne on Yarra's Women Taking Climate Change Action Award. As part of the award, she received $1,000 and requested it be deposited into our admin account to help with operational expenses. Congratulations, Margaret!

Australia's net zero plan is dependent on market based GHG accounting for carbon offsets to finish the job but Australia does not have a market based GHG offsets or renewables accounting framework so such ideas sit outside the law and are still double counted fantasies

Replying to @DaveSharma @Birmo
We don't even have a market based GHG Emissions accounting, allocation and trading framework to support ideas like clean hydrogen so you are talking fantasy rubbish unless you reform the NGER Framework

Wow. A utility seeking to distinguish itself from dangerous natural gas. We need more companies to realize a climate safe world means we keep the remaining natural gas out of our atmosphere and homes.
