I vaguely remembered learning about the physics of magnetic fields 🧲and induced currents⚡️ when I was in college. Now, it's relevant! Enjoy impressing all your friends when you can explain how an induction stove works. 😉♨️😍 #electrifyeverything canarymedia.com/articles/ele…

Here's why energy storage equipped appliances are a game changer: "my electrician estimated running the wiring for a 240-volt outlet for an induction stove will cost $3,800. Battery-enabled stoves avoid this by plugging into an existing 120-volt outlet." washingtonpost.com/climate-e…

We just installed our first energy storage equipped (ESE) induction range. This one went into a Channing St. Copper Co.’s founder’s home. It replaced an old gas range, and is plugged into a regular outlet (you can see it in the upper-right corner of the stove in the picture).

Installation took an hour, similar to getting a new refrigerator. The simplicity of installation is why we exist. Induction is a superior cooking technology, and if you want the easiest way to get it in your home, them please join our waitlist: channingcopper.com/pages/joi…

Those installation costs show exactly why we need Energy Storage Equipped (ESE) appliances. In the article, the low end estimate for switching (appliance and install) to induction is $8,600. The high end is $24,400. With lots of complexity and headache along the way.

ESE induction ranges take the installation cost to $0, with no hassle. So you get a more powerful, more reliable appliance, that powers other home essentials in a power outage, and all that for thousands of dollars less than a plain old induction range.

Electric stoves are better for your health, the climate, and your dinner. And thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, you can get incentives to help you buy one. More on why you should upgrade to electric: bit.ly/3Qp9WSu

For these reasons, all 5 of the experts I spoke to said they support policies that would eventually phase out gas stoves. @jlashk told me the most effective solution isn't ventilation; it's preventing pollution from getting into people’s homes in the first place.
