People forget the s5 finale is the reason we now are stuck with a love square fight and drama that will mean nothing bc adrien's real enemy was gabriel and he is already dead. I find no satisfaction in them ruining the heart of the show for a cheap secondhand confrontation.

hot take but i don’t think this was worth the disappointment of adrien not confronting his father in season 5. like the lie plot is cool in theory but it practically revolving around marinette instead of adrien is a bit disappointing.
