Mientras que en 1991 un congresista se ganaba 13,8 salarios mínimos, en 2023 se gana 35,4 salarios mínimos. En ese período el salario mínimo real (es decir en poder adquisitivo) ha aumentado 54%, el de los congresistas se ha multiplicado por 4,2.
