Rather than "Knowing" your Eircode - 1st check it for location & also routing, then put it on a sign for all to see in an emergency. Some Eircodes have misrouted & delayed ambulances - check yours & for others who can't here -

An Post specified the design of Eircode to suit its requirements & stated that it would be used in every aspect of their business. @Postvox lied. Since 2017 it has been admitting publicly that it doesn't use Eircode. @1Hildegarde has known this since then BUT chose to do nothing!

@sarahleekiely of @FineGael recently pushing Eircode into a use for which it was never designed & is wholly unsuitable yet @1Hildegarde chose to tell no one when she heard @Postvox was not using Eircode for the purpose it was designed & for which €M's Public money was spent.

In our new build 3 years now and still can't use our Eircode. Our Eircode is our house but nearest road has no entrance. Our entrance is off a different road. What can be done?

It is worrying that the idea of the "nearest eircode", which is anything but the "precise" that Eircode claims for itself & which can significantly misroute & delay emergency responce, seems to have become a thing encouraged by those behind Eircode - duckduckgo.com/?q="nearest…

You should check both Eircode & Loc8 Code before relying on them for an emergency and place them on a sign.

When you are calling @AmbulanceNAS you can provide a #loc8code for non Eircode locations especially for #farmsafety #ruralsafety
Generate a Loc8 using loc8.ie/point8, check it and place on a sign ready to use in an emergency. Do for those who can't! @cfr

They want at least one of the "War ships" named after a woman, Ships were always named after women until Shatter in his wisdom ditched things in favour of naming them after Irish authors. Just return to naming the ships after women of Irish legend. prob solved.

Ambulances have been misrouted by Eircode. so #checkyourcode & inform others to do so also or do it for them. Eircode misrouting could put someone's life at risk - so check before you need to rely on yours. There are solutions!

I agree 100% - Eircode remained appallingly arrogant and seemingly beyond reproach even when an ambulance was misrouted on its way to attending my 90 year old Mother when she had a stroke in January.
