As we approach the end of the year, we asked regular contributors to Books for Keeps to highlight the books that have given them the most enjoyment in 2024. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Which were the stand out books for you? Let us know!

I've finally had a minute to reflect on all things from our inaugural @SailFestUK event and I still can't quite believe we managed to pull it off. There was so much energy and excitement in the room.
I don't think any of us realised quite how much we needed a festival like #Sail2024. @csoundar @chitabds and I are so proud of what we've achieved but we're only just getting started. Watch this space!
Listening to @Perminder14's keynote @SailFestUK fills me with pride, joy and hope. A South Asian working class woman CEO of a major publishing house @bonnierbooks_uk! So passionate about making publishing a space of belonging, long- term. So important. #RepresentationMatters
@sailfest_uk publishing panel - such a frank, critical, incisive conversation taking place. This is what can happen when a space is genuinely safe. Thanks to the organisers for making it happen. #representationmatters#weneeddiversebooks@britishlibrary @childrensbookshoplondon
Congratulations @SailFestUK!! What a glorious event. To be in this room with so many extraordinary, talented South Asian creatives felt quite honestly… electric. Loved my panel and was fangirling all day long. Fab to meet friends old and new. Bravo!! #sailfest2024
Amazing day at #sailfest2024 with discussions on culture, fantasy & history chaired by icons of modern South Asian children’s writing. Am in awe at the Desai talent on display here in the UK 🤩🤩💫✨✨
Yesterday there were two excellent conferences on children’s literature at @britishlibrary - @Literacy_Trust & Lit in Colour plus @SailFestUK. Folks from both events ended up in conversation afterwards.
Huge congratulations to @sineadgosai @csoundar and @chitabds for the inaugural @SailFestUK at @britishlibrary yesterday, loved the panels and the conversations that took place before, between, and afterwards!
