why the hell do you all care so much about being 'fans'. thats the core of this issue because its just exacerbating how awful fandom culture is, people just wanna be seen as a fan for external validation and so they can participate in useless discourse
i don't get the "you have to physically play a game to say you're a fan" take at all like yeah obviously watching a playthrough isn't the exact same experience but i don't think you can't say you're a fan of it just because of that?
