Do you have drainage control structures? Try this new slick app for stop log settings! Part of our @USDA_NRCS #CIG project for #Bioreactors and #SaturatedBuffers. We're working to improve management guidance.

Nice to get out to shoot some video with @ISUAgWaterMgmt on drainage water recycling for upcoming @ialearningfarms virtual field day as well as show some other @IowaSoybeans RCFI staff what we're doing to evaluate this practice. Look out for the virtual field day to learn more.

Installing an edge-of-field practice has never been easier now that funding is available to add a saturated buffer to your land if you live in the North Raccoon River Watershed. Learn more and get the process started here >> iasoybeans.com/research/nort…

After many fits and starts, results of early #Bioreactor work in SD are finally published. N load reductions were 39% to 89%. Thanks to @sdsoybean, @sdcorn, EDWDD, @SDFarmBureau, and @NRCS_SD for funding. Link to article: authors.elsevier.com/c/1fpzO…

Back in the office but still energized from #22IDS. Amazing to talk drainage water recycling with Swedes 🇸🇪 and an Aussie 🇦🇺, bioreactors with a Brit 🇬🇧, nutrient reduction with a Dane 🇩🇰 and Latvian 🇱🇻, and learn about many great projects happening in the US 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦!

Thanks for hosting a #22IDS stop at your farm! Great example of pairing in-field and edge-of-field #ConservationDrainage practices with monitoring to show positive impacts on #WaterQuality.
Thanks for coming out to Tesdell Century Farm today. @SWCSNews #22IDS #IDS22 @ISUAgWaterMgmt @IowaSoybeans @ISUExtension. Nice to meet our international visitors. Here's an idea: Intelligent ag drainage saturated buffers water quality data = actionable policies.

Finally catching my breath from a whirlwind #22IDS. Day 2 was another great day with thought provoking talk on Denmark experience with nutrient reduction (bonus Dane in foreground) and food for thought on drainage challenges for the next IDS

With emphasis on getting bioreactors and saturated buffers installed, often lost is training on management of practices for the long term, so they perform as planned. Had good day training landowners in Rock Creek on management of the 16 edge-of-field practices in the watershed.
