Sept 14th 1966 - Otis Redding performed at The Orchid Ballroom, Purley, London. Admission was 10 shillings ($1.40). The Orchid was the largest ballroom in Europe. It had hosted big bands and bow-tied and blow dried crooners & songbirds.
