Protein Kinase C (PKC) enzymes are critical signaling molecules, but their regulation at emerging signaling hubs remains unclear. In a study led by postdoc Qi Su @chrisqs5 , we developed a sensitive fluorescent biosensor of PKC, ExRai-CKAR2!

🥳Congrats🎉 to postdocs Dr. Yonghoon Kwon @Dr_Yonghoon and Dr. Qi Su @chrisqs5 on being awarded the UC Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program Postdoctoral Award! They will research GPCR signaling in pancreatic cancer and PKC signaling in colorectal cancer.

Our work, @ron_dorit lab in collaboration with @kevansf and @bignerdzzy is out! This dual drug strategy that reduces alcohol consumption in mice, allows mTORC1 inhibition specifically in the brain while protecting the periphery from sides effects :

I just left the ER.
We are officially back to getting crushed by COVID-19.
Delta Variant is running rampant and it’s MUCH more transmissible than the original virus.
99% of our ICU admits did NOT receive a vaccine.
Virtually ALL of them wish they had.
