I think a lot about how filing taxes is free and easy in every other country but here there's a multi-billion-dollar tax prep industry that lobbied to make it so complicated you have to pay them every year, and Congress just goes along with it.
Think that sums up a lot.

I'd rather add a private sector middle-man whose sole purpose is to profit off me: health insurance, student debt servicing, water, electricity, cable, internet, landlords, mortgages - all affordable with great, efficient service.

Taxpayers spend $107 billion a year on benefits for workers.
Stop asking if companies can afford better wages and start asking why you're already paying for it.
