My little haul from the Somme (@FeroDawg and @cinnabaron did the digging). The rusted fragments are from one millions of shrapnel shells fired into the french countryside. The small round balls are the shrapnel that is forced out of the shell midair by the round disk at right.

Theyโre so impatient and annoying.
My only complaint about Normandy during the anniversary is the amount of NPC Brexit geezer and Boomer tour groups. Literally have no idea what they're doing or what they're looking at.
