SCOOP: Per multiple law enforcement sources, the suspect who shot a San Antonio police officer w/ a rifle this morning is a Venezuelan illegal alien who was caught by Border Patrol in Eagle Pass, TX last November & was released into the US w/ his next court date in April 2026. Per sources, San Antonio PD officers were responding to a domestic violence call just after 3am. When they made entry, 25-year-old Jorge Chacon-Gutierrez was laying in bed with a rifle, and opened fire on officers. The officers returned fire, then retreated. Chacon-Gutierrez is now dead, unclear if from return fire or suicide. Per sources, the SAPD officer was shot multiple times, had surgery this morning, and she is expected to survive. I’ve reached out to ICE for formal comment. More to come when I get it.
