This will be the first ever crowdsourced soundtrack for Metropolis, and through randomised combinations we will present a total of 1,296 possible soundtracks to this iconic film, with each artist soundtracking a different scene from the movie.
The project will launch on 10 January 2027, the 100th anniversary of the filmās world premiere in Berlin, with special premiere screenings in December 2025. It's a first for Cities and Memory, and a first for Metropolis - so get involved: citiesandmemory.com/metropolā¦
