Crow personalities - Pepi update Entering the Burgarten in the city center it took only 2 minutes to spot Pepi or be spotted by him. Pepi is a relatively young crow (est. 5 -6 ys.) I'm so happy to witness his 2nd successful breeding season. He's quite busy now with two fresh kids. I'm always proud when the crows introduce me to their kids.

Great day today. After 6 weeks away I finally could meet some very old friends again. Here's one of the superstsrs, the one and only Piu von Schönbrunn. He's father again (2 kids) for the 10th time in a row. What an impressive performance!

Crow fashion Entirely black crows seem out of fashion over the last years, though there are still some est. ~10 %. Piu here on the foto is a typical black Coronix aka hybrid crow. People not familiar with hybrid crows falsely diagnose leucism when in fact it’s fashion.

Kaiser & Mami update Great day yesterday when I met this famous and old crow couple again. Look at Mami, when she comes down from the nest to begging food from the Kaiser. Though she's far too old to lay eggs she still sits in the nest every season pretending to be breeding.
