June Kim (@june_redthread) is a Korean American artist working between Los Angeles and Seoul. Her practice engages the convergence of physical art and AI-driven moving image, grounded in the accumulation of material over time. Her Redthread series originates from a sustained body of sculptural and installation work, developed over more than a decade. Early works such as Knot: Landscape of Time (2010) establish a structural approach to human relationships, later extended into machine-trained systems built from her own dataset. Through this process, she translates the structure of connection into a cinematic visual language, unfolding across moving image, immersive environments, and digital space. Rooted in the idea of invisible threads of destiny, her work holds connection as a continuous condition, where data, memory, and relation are carried across physical and digital forms. Her work has been presented internationally, including Saatchi Gallery, Outernet London, NFT Paris, and the French National Museum of Arts and Technology, with exhibitions and presentations across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Paris.
