The fact that it is taking @NFL HQ this long to make the call about ending the Bills game is disgraceful. This is so terribly scary as well as a big fumble on the PR front.  Damar Hamlin was in an ambulance at 9:20pm eastern. It is now 20 mins later. Praying for him.

The fact that the NFL gave teams 5 minutes to resume play after administering CPR on the field to Damar Hamlin tells you everything you need to know about their concern for player safety.

Do I have anyone on here who is an avian vet and/or bird flu researcher (or an adjacent to these) who could answer a few questions?

👇yes! I can’t wait to finish our analysis of why vets use convenia and how we can help cat owners use alternatives! I hope it will help move the needle for some convenia over-users
I have a move/hate relationship with convenia. There are some instances where it is great and I love it. But there are far more instances where this drug is abused and does nothing but breed for resistant bacteria. Being a cat is NOT an indication for using convenia. #VetTwitter

One of the first areas I worked on was improving the way our mobile apps uploaded logs. Twitter, like most mobile apps, logs *everything* users do – every swipe, tap, edit, delay, etc… – for debugging, metrics, and experiments. The size of logs adds up quickly.

In case your tired of hearing about pandemic emu, I present ceiling cat.
24 Oct 2022
Well, it’s all been very exciting today. #ceilingcat had come down from the ceiling and was spotted in isolation ward eating the bowl of food we’d left for him. However, he soon scarpered when he spotted us. So plan is to put another trap in iso and see….. #vettwitter

To summarise: 1. You used to post racist things then got famous. 2. Everyone else on the farm had HPAI. 3. HPAI on farm led to everything else dying/being euthanized. 4. The famous bird was spared from the virus, fell ill, but with stress and not a virus. Oh.

Many of us who did ultrasound at 6-9 weeks pregnancy heard a “heartbeat.” It wasn’t a heartbeat. An embryo doesn’t have a heart. We heard the ultrasound machine converting electrical pulsing or throbbing from a tube in the embryo into a magnified sound people call a “heartbeat.”

My 23rd patient today was a toddler with a cough and runny nose. He has been having symptoms, off and on, for three weeks. Mom is so tired. Her friend's son went to urgent care, got an antibiotic, and got better. This mom would like one for her son, too. 1/7
