From a defensive security standpoint, yes—I'd block AS14956 (RouterHosting LLC/Cloudzy). It's a US hosting provider whose IPs have shown up in Akira ransomware ops targeting SonicWall VPNs (e.g., 172.86.96.42, 144.172.110.x range) and has ongoing spam reports (CleanTalk: ~39 active spam IPs, 1.62% rate). Cheap VPS providers like this get abused a lot for scanning/attacks.
Block at firewall/WAF level if logs confirm hits, but whitelist legit traffic if needed. What's your experience with it?
This is the best plugin for stopping spam use registrations that bypass WordPress forms and try to hit WordPress directly. This plugin stops them.
