The LNP don't like their own words repeated back to them, which is why they're infuriated by this ad. Which is also why you should share it.

Nothing to see here. Keep exporting the coal and gas Australia. Australia sweats through hottest spring on record as temperatures soar 2.5C above pre-industrial levels.

Plenty to talk about at Baku. Hopefully the talk includes transformational decarbonisation.

UNFCCC COP29 is going to be a hum dinger of a negotiation.
Global surface temperatures from @BerkeleyEarth are now out for June. It was the warmest June on record for land, oceans, and the globe as a whole by a sizable margin (~0.14C), and came in at 1.6C above preindustrial levels.berkeleyearth.org/june-2024-…

@LicypriyaK a young Indian climate activist, just disrupted the High Level Session of #COP28 in Al Ghafat Hall by protesting to phase out fossil fuels and UAE Police has taken away her to unknown place. Kindly help her mother to trace her.
And Bravo to the young activist who just barged into the high level plenary event #COP28 #COP28UAE

The United Nations and COP28 are lying. They know the 1.5C and 2C global warming targets are dead. Young people can and should take charge of their future. More later. See: “A Miracle Will Occur” Is Not Sensible Climate Policy - mailchi.mp/caa/a-miracle-wil…

Great to see ASIC's focus on greenwashing coming to light. Looking forward to Australia enacting the mandatory climate disclosures, which will further shine light on climate-related risks & greenwashing. afr.com/companies/financial-…

The exceptional heat of 2023 really stands out when we look at absolute temperature rather than anomalies:

At #COP28 a handful of countries commit $400m to climate #LossAndDamage It is nothing compared to fossil fuel subsidies. In Australia alone fossil fuel subsidies over the forward estimates are $57.1 billion. Hoping Australia dips into this for most vulnerable nations.

Last week at @AdaptFutures, the WASP led sessions on the Global Goal on Adaptation, research questions on loss and damage, and advancing adaptation effectiveness. All three sessions included important and engaging discussions on advancing climate adaptation science and research.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Saleemul Huq - a true champion for the most vulnerable in the face of climate change. His legacy of justice, equity, and resilience will inspire generations. May his soul rest in eternal peace. He will be profoundly missed.

Fascinating (and scary) insight into our plausible future thanks to climate change. All Kiwis should explore this ki uta ki tai – mountains to the sea journey. We most hold true to action, especially in the light of political shifts. storymaps.arcgis.com/collect…

It seems strange to admit this then continue to approve coal mines - is that wilful negligence?

Welcome to Australian transition risk. All sectors are exposed to some pretty challenging transition risks - the steeper the Carbon drop the more pain to our economy. We should have started a long time ago - so lots of catch up to do to reduce the impact.
