One thing that struck me about Wemby when I sat in a postgame presser in PHX last season is the time he takes after being asked a question — around 5-10 seconds — to ensure every answer is thoughtful.
He’s a generational talent.
Happy to share that I am reviving a basketball newsletter I created as an undergrad. This is the culmination of my early navigation of the industry and rediscovering my love for writing.

Call me a layman all you want, but how does a team reciprocate OKC’s physicality successfully?
I’ve credited the Thunder for establishing the physicality all season. But in playoffs, when you claim to allow more physicality, why does it seem they always have the edge? (1/2)
I’m not in the “refs favor OKC” camp. They’re the best team in the league for a reason.
You would just like to see a team competing with them to be rewarded when they (try to) match their physicality.
Construction filled the south end of the Rose Bowl on Saturday. Just across the field, nearly a hundred recruits gathered along the north end zone, and a new foundation was being laid.

Without Saturday, many of UCLA’s questions would be left unanswered. Which is why Bob Chesney wanted to be prepared for everything.
On an entertaining UCLA spring game for @SportingTrib:

UCLA backup QB and Cal Poly transfer (and nephew of the legendary @PaolaBoivin) Ty Dieffenbach (14) takes the field for the first in today’s spring game.
A minor scuffle at UCLA’s final spring practice on Thursday was the sign of one thing:
Bob Chesney’s Bruins are ready for Saturday’s spring game at the Rose Bowl.
My latest for @SportingTrib with @AlexHutton35:

Bob Chesney: “Get the media over here, I want them to see this.”
What he called a “title fight” between kickers Mateen Bhaghani and Mateo Orosco. @SportingTrib
