Field Inspection and Drilling Operations assessment Shri S. K. Thereafter, Shri S. K. Bhar and his team visited GMDC's Kodanali–Luburi Block to review ongoing drilling operations. This project, executed by SWPEL, is an outside consultancy project of CMPDI. Inauguration of Core Drilling Machine in MT Laboratory, CMPDI Shri Ajay Kumar, Director (T/P&D), CMPDI, inaugurated a Core Drilling Machine in the Mining Technology (MT) Laboratory, a unit under Under Ground Department (UMD) of CMPDI, Ranchi on 12.06.2026 in the presence of Shri Pramod Kumar, GM (UMD) and other senior officials of CMPDI. The newly installed machine will facilitate the preparation of core samples for Physico-Mechanical Properties (PMP) testing of rock and coal lumps obtained from underground mines, opencast mines, and other sources. Hon'ble Union Minister of Coal and Mines Shri G. Kishan Reddy, in his keynote address at the Roadshow on Coal/Lignite Gasification Projects in Hyderabad, said that India is ready to enter the coal gasification era. Highlighting India's vast coal reserves and strong policy support, he stated that coal gasification will help reduce dependence on imports of methanol, ammonia, fertilizer feedstocks and other critical industrial chemicals, save valuable foreign exchange, strengthen energy security and drive Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Minister emphasized that ease of doing business, good governance and continuous policy reforms remain key priorities of the Government. He noted that the Draft RFP has been placed in the public domain and underscored the importance of stakeholder suggestions in refining the framework. माननीय कोयला एवं खान राज्य मंत्री श्री सतीश चंद्र दुबे ने हैदराबाद में आयोजित सतही कोयला एवं लिग्नाइट गैसीकरण परियोजनाओं के रोड शो में कहा कि ₹37,500 करोड़ की गैसीकरण प्रोत्साहन योजना भारत की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा को सुदृढ़ करने, आयात निर्भरता कम करने और आत्मनिर्भर भारत के लक्ष्य को गति देने की दिशा में एक ऐतिहासिक कदम है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत के विशाल कोयला भंडार को केवल ऊर्जा उत्पादन तक सीमित न रखकर उर्वरक, रसायन, ईंधन और अन्य मूल्यवर्धित उत्पादों के निर्माण में उपयोग करना समय की आवश्यकता है। यह पहल देश को एलएनजी, मेथनॉल, अमोनिया, यूरिया और अन्य महत्वपूर्ण उत्पादों के आयात पर निर्भरता कम करने में सहायता करेगी। माननीय मंत्री ने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि यह योजना नए निवेश, उन्नत प्रौद्योगिकी, औद्योगिक विकास और बड़े पैमाने पर रोजगार सृजन को बढ़ावा देगी तथा भारत को 2030 तक 100 मिलियन टन कोयला गैसीकरण के लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देगी। उन्होंने कहा कि ऊर्जा आत्मनिर्भरता और औद्योगिक प्रगति के ऐसे प्रयास वर्ष 2047 तक भारत को विकसित भारत बनाने की दिशा में मजबूत आधार तैयार करेंगे। #CoalGasification #EnergySecurity #MinistryOfCoa
