Just went to DMV to renew my plates. I renewed my daughter’s as well, but her plates were almost double. I asked why, and the lady said, “because her car is considered fuel efficient.” I said, “the tags cost more because the car burns less gas?” She said, “yes. Since other vehicle owners have to pay more for gas, you have to pay more for tags so it’s fair.” So, the government is trying to get rid of gas cars by 2035 because they’re bad for the environment. But, I buy a fuel efficient car that’s better for the environment, and I’m penalized for doing so? More evidence the government does nothing because it’s better for you or the environment. Everything they do is a money & power grab.

Was also honored to be asked back to the AL football awards banquet and give the Jesse Loebach, and David Edsill memorial awards. These two young men, Jake Samuelson and Eric Boen embody the the character qualities, the work ethic and the passion of these 2 departed Braves!

Yep, I still get the paper! And I STILL love reading about Alta Loma High School’s achievements. Congrats to Alex Lopez, Division III player of the year! Also, first teamers, Bodie Chapman, Gavin Ott, and Jake Kallimanis. Thanks for repping AL so well!

I may be the “retired” AD, but I must acknowledge this tremendous accomplishment of, not only my long time colleague, coach, and classmate but treasured friend. Congrats coach Cindy Gurney on 600 victories. Alta Loma is proud of you! And so am I!
