You get one choice: Become immortal, but continue aging forever OR Stay physically 20 forever, but live only an average human lifespan What do you pick?

Watching YouTube on desktop has a UX issue: If I scroll to browse suggested videos, the main video disappears and comments take over. I donโ€™t want to stop watching โ€” I just want to explore recommendations. (See images ๐Ÿ‘‡)

Suggestion: Make the โ€œSuggested Videosโ€ panel independently scrollable. So the video stays fixed when the sidebar is scrolled. (See Image ๐Ÿ‘‡)

This would let users keep watching and browse recommendations at the same time โ†’ Much smoother experience overall. @YouTube this would be a great addition.

X supports 16:9 videos (interviews, clips, etc.) but thereโ€™s no in-app rotate option in the video player. You have to rely on system level auto-rotate to watch the video in landscape. A simple rotate/fullscreen toggle would make this much smoother. @nikitabier

This would reduce friction a lot. Right now: โ€ข Users must turn on auto-rotate โ€ข Rotate their device manually โ€ข Then switch it off again An in-player rotate option keeps the experience seamless and consistent โ€” especially for longer videos.

Does anyone else find the current placement of the "Save" button on YouTube mobile incredibly frustrating ?

My Proposal: Implement a Long-Press gesture on the video player to trigger a context menu that has an option to save the video. This gives power users immediate access without cluttering the UI or de-prioritizing the discovery buttons YouTube needs to promote.

This seems like the perfect "win-win" compromise. Iโ€™m curious โ€” would a gesture-based shortcut solve this for you ? Or is there a better way to balance this interface ?

Wouldn't it be great if X added media carousels for images/videos/GIFs by default, plus an option to toggle between grid or carousel display What do you all think ? @nikitabier

Anyone else on Gemini web facing this since update? The search icon no longer opens chat search โ€” it instantly creates a new chat and then the button becomes greyed out & unclickable. Tried cache clear, incognito, different browsers โ€” still broken. @GeminiApp

Really hoping "UX 2.0" fixes search! The current algo feels broken & inconsistent. Query: "google" Android: 25 results Web: 385 results โ€‹The mismatch is wild, but the results on both are disorganized lists with no sorting/filtering options. Itโ€™s hard to find anything. (1/3)
Replying to @raizamrtn
huge investment happening in Gemini App UX 2.0 right now, hoping we win you over with this iteration :)

Why this matters: As an AI assistant's usage increases โ€“ so does the chat history and without a robust search, that knowledge is lost or hard to find in the future. To keep the AI assistant useful as we scale to thousands of chats, reliable retrieval is a must-have. (3/3)

To be clear: I rely on Gemini daily. Itโ€™s incredibly helpful. โ€‹But great AI models need great frontend UX to be truly usable at scale. We aren't just reading text anymore โ€“ we're managing a knowledge base.

Why doesn't X have a native "Read Aloud" button ?

I can use the OS's built-in screen reader, but I don't see the problem with just adding it natively. โ€‹Does a simple "Read" button not fit the vision of the platform or something ?
