Anthropic has released Claude 4 and it arrives with two variants: Sonnet 4 and Opus 4!
Both excel at code tasks, with Sonnet 4 hitting 72.7% on SWE-bench and Opus 4 close at 72.5%. These results set a new bar for open models.

It doesn’t match Gemini 2.5 Pro’s 1M tokens, but Anthropic’s optimizations for context handling keep performance strong.
