Why doesn’t iPhone have a silent on/off status indicator? I sometimes forget to take it off of silent mode and miss calls. It’s a very basic thing to have!

A cross platform desktop application or a web UI running a local web server? The former is more intuitive but maintenance nightmare while the latter is less appealing but easy to maintain.
Does it mater for the user? Thoughts?

But what about developer's time, compile time, debugging time when compared to other languages? These things contribute to the energy consumption as well, IMHO
