I spent the last year building a SaaS to turn long podcasts into viral vertical clips automatically using AI.

Second, compute margins.
Heavy video processing (GPU transcription PyTorch face-tracking FFmpeg rendering) is expensive. For a solo founder, managing cold starts, S3 egress, and API costs made pricing margins thin.

I built a web app over the weekend as my side-project to simplify subtitle generation using the open-source Whisper model. One cool part of this project is that it uses ffmpeg webassembly, so all the processing happens in the client's browser, with no stress on the server.
