The thing that nobody ever seems able to deal with is that most Americans that like soccer like the sport the way it is. FIFA putting in weird halftime shows and MLS changing the clock are both examples of missing what people want

MLS is poor at attracting American soccer fans who wake up every Saturday morning at 7am to watch hours of European football, and that’s an audience they need to capture in this country.
The last thing they should do is make the sport unrecognizable to the rest of the world.
