Gonna go crash this
Today’s the day the Tartan Army head to watch the baseball en masse. The @RedSox game on Friday was well attended by Scotland fans but today is set to be even bigger. There is a planned march to the game from Back Bay with live music at the starting point. The meeting point is Evans Way Park. If you’re there or going feel free to tag us in your photos and videos. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 #TartanArmy #Boston

USA. A Mexican restaurant. We had not yet ordered anything, and the food was already arriving. Chips. Salsa. Unrequested. Free. I stopped the waiter. "We have not earned these." "They just come with the table, man." They come with the TABLE. In my land, hospitality is a debt. Every gift creates an obligation, weighed carefully, returned in the proper season with interest of feeling. Here, the gift arrives before you have even proven you can pay for dinner. This is not an appetizer. This is a declaration: we trust you. Eat. I ate with the gravity the moment deserved. And then — I must report this calmly — the basket emptied, and a new one appeared. "Did we…?" "Refill," the waiter said. "It's bottomless." Bottomless. They have wells of salsa. The supply lines of this nation are beyond anything my ancestors imagined. My friend warned me. "Don't fill up on chips, dude." Too late. I had accepted three baskets. Honor demanded each one be finished — an unfinished gift is an insult. By the time my actual food arrived, I was a ruined man. I was not hungry. I was not comfortable. I had been defeated by a courtesy. Generosity that arrives before the request cannot be repaid. It can only be survived. I know the rule now. I have made my peace with the basket. One basket. Two at the most. Who am I deceiving. There is no number of baskets I would refuse. The trust of a nation is in that salsa, and I intend to honor all of it.

Here you go folks. Definitely a meteor causing that big boom! @wbz
Replying to @NStewWX
The flash density product really shows this anomalous "flash" which is pretty distinctive of a bolide/meteor reentry. east of Boston. This is the likely source of the loud boom/explosion.

maybe I should go back into marketing 😂
Starting to REALLY see how reaching potential customers is becoming a massive pain point for software startups - esp w AI! I get so much more messages about software that founders built rapidly that they think will solve some important problem (usually eg AI context/trust/security). But how will anyone know about it? It was fast to build, but getting the world to know about it / care about it is increasingly hard/expensive/time-consuming. And the irony is: the "easier" it is to build, the more the only differentiation is marketing/advertising! (Because the easier it is to build, the more teams build something similar in parallel, and racing to win the market becomes key!)

Missed the exact rollover moment by a couple days, but: Kineticist.com just hit 1 million unique visitors. Been refreshing this like an odometer for weeks. Wild!

I’m more of a @beehiiv guy than Substack but this was an interesting read
I know I’ve said this a lot, but I cannot emphasize enough that email will continue to become less deterministically reliable as a means for distributing your work; this is a huge part of why we got into the app and feed business! You can blame a few things (1/n):

Something I've been thinking about, thanks to AI, I've been able to cut SaaS costs on my website, thus enabling me to hire substantially more human writers

Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.
