🔥 Hot take… I don’t care if you’re a DJ/EDM artist & it’s not “cool” to get on the mic during your set. Getting on the mic, talking with, & connecting with your fans is a massive part of music. Connection and community are invaluable in the music industry 🎵🤝🏼🌎

3 tips for shooting better video in low light🎥🥷🏼: 1️⃣ Lower your aperture all the way. Ideally, f/2.8 or faster. 2️⃣ Shoot in 24fps or 60fps instead of 120! Lower shutter speed = more light. 3️⃣ Know your camera’s ISO limits & do testing to see what settings wrk best for you!

Being active on social media all the time can be stressful 😓 BUT taking breaks & using systems to create your content will significantly reduce that stress 😁 As a result, you’ll be able to show up consistently over long periods of time 📈👍🏼

I’m kind’ve torn about this… Personally, pulling selects is the most boring part of the editing process 😑 BUT when you’ve seen all the clips and everything is organized it also yields the best possible edit ✂️🔥 Can anyone else relate? 😅

Your copy & content needs to be super simple/easily understood & applied 📝 I over complicate things all of the time & that often results in confusion and/or lack of engagement… This is a reminder to myself and others KEEP IT SIMPLE 😅
Tip for increasing video quality (on all platforms): shoot in 4K & then ⬇️scale to HD 🖥 Higher resolutions give you more digital info to wrk with when editing & the export will have more detail. Most phones shoot in 4K now, keep that in mind next time you make social content📲
I finally understand why Eminem had a strict schedule for working on music… He created boundaries for himself and his wrk🙌🏼 He put systems into place, not to restrict his creativity but to protect it. You’re not creating your best wrk if you’re burnt out all the time🚫
Just because you want to get paid doesn’t mean you can’t “do it for the art” 🎨>💵 It’s always opportunity cost vs financial cost and if you’re able to take on that risk ⚖️ The project must make money for you to continue to make “the art” period. Secure the bag!💰

Ultimately, everything that needs to be said has been said before, but not by you. Not in your way. There's a person out there waiting to see someone like them speak in a way they can relate to. That could be you, but only if you take that first step. Use your voice. Show them.
