Make driving chill. comma four is available now for $999, plugs into the car you already drive, and drives half your miles.

If the last 24 hours has taught us anything, it's the value of open source. openpilot is to FSD as Kimi is to Fable. Open source AI lags behind now, but who are you betting on long term?
Getting mad about Elon becoming a trillionaire is literally a skill issue. Git gud. The size of Tesla never stopped @comma_ai or @EdisonMotorsLtd from competing.

I tied for #1 on the @comma_ai Controls Challenge leaderboard. The task: steer a car across 5,000 driving segments. I wrote up the full build process, failed approaches, optimization strategy, and noise-floor analysis: ryleitianebao.medium.com/i-t… Code: github.com/RyanL2/commacontr…

There is no software yet that is capable of driving better than a human.

Who else is feeling the open source? World's biggest driving dataset dropping soon. 1M segments from production cars all over the world.

Ok this challenge is too easy for the LLMs now. We're hiring for 3 positions on the hardware team. Just email work@comma with pics of cool things you've built. On site in San Diego. Come play with our machines!
✨ New HW challenge prize We designed a simple harness testing PCB and wrote some firmware for it. Unfortunately, this board was designed on a Monday morning. Find as many bugs as you can. First submission with a score >21 gets $1000.

Hiring for: - EE: work on design & manufacturing for things like comma four - Intern: EE but you're in school atm - Prototype Engineer: run our new machine shop and build prototypes of all our new products (including our new datacenter-in-a-box) comma.ai/jobs

When a cell phone has better ADAS than Rivian Hopefully Rivian can release some of what they’ve been working on to the public but for now… @comma_ai 💪

Want to work on a datacenter with 1k GPUs? I'm hiring people to write code for our small 500kw cluster (~3MW in couple years). You'll work with things like SLURM, PyTorch, NFS, Linux, miniray, minikeyvalue.

Found the curviest, twistiest backroad around me to test angle-based steering on the Rivian with the new Extreme Harness Kit from Xnor. No lane lines, no mercy. 😅 Shoutout to @comma_ai for handling it like a champ. Harnesses kits are shipping to customers now!

Supervised learning is kinda lame. I've always found RL the cool part of ML. It's what can make machines feel truly alive! So far RL has had little practical use in robotics, but not anymore! The next version of openpilot's driving model will be fully RL trained.

This map shows something most people don’t realize: Open-source autonomy is already everywhere in America. Every line represents a real Comma device driving real miles on real roads. Not prototypes. Not test fleets. Real cars, real drivers, real adoption — with zero subscriptions. While big tech argues about who will win the robotaxi future, thousands of people are already quietly using open-source self-driving today. @comma_ai didn’t wait for permission. They built something people could actually own and use.

🚢openpilot 0.11.1 ships today This release focuses on the driver monitoring experience. Less alerts when there shouldn't be: looking around for turns, driving into sun, and general false positives. And more alerts when there should be.
