i'm starting to think this whole crusade against roblox is a psyop.
it's like they're all reading from the same script. notice how they always use the term "pedophile playground" when referring to the site.
Roblox pushing R15 is good AS LONG as they add resources to make it easy to develop with it.
R6 (and Stud) is popular as it allows games to not look trash if they're simpler, not that R6 itself is superior.
ex. Simple pattern-based textures that fit simple builds w/ R15.
Does your game "taste" determine success?
Been thinking that some devs make funner games just because they enjoy games that kids enjoy too.
And it isn't something that you can easily change .

i've been pushing past my burnout for so long now i'm genuinely losing the will to get out of bed...
been almost 4 months of nonstop devving at this point, 6-8 hours every day😭😭
Gamedev tip:
1. You're tired or burned out
2. Take a break
3. Exactly 3 seconds later new game idea comes to mind
4. "I'd love to work on it"
5. Realise you have free will
6. Start working on that new idea
7. Get it done in a week
8. Come back to the other game well rested
9. "Oh yeah I wanted to take a break, well, I'm not tired anymore so I'll keep working"
It's all in your head people. Anyway I got like 5 games coming up
(Yes I know step 7 sounds crazy but I believe in you)
Is it just me or do I feel like NOTHING I do every succeeds on Roblox?
I'm not here to prove that my failed games were good but, I can't even start to comprehend why I'm failing. I look at one game, replicate it, and it fails.
Then I see these verified devs releasing low effort games and getting like 1k CCU every time.
I'm lowkey starting to get to my tipping point, feels like everything I do fails and 95% of the time I don't even know why..
A big mistake people make doing commissions❌:
They pick a price they aren’t happy with to avoid rejection. Afterward, they work with little optimism or efficiency.
Any serious dev prefers higher costs over a slow, time-waster.

There's a lot of controversy around BMWLux/Adrian.
But the one thing I respect a lot (and why he's such a good dev) is that he's very innovative & explorative.
Rob It, Dig to Escape, Grow a Garden, and all his smaller games.
As a dev, when should you give away %?
When your budget far exceeds the cost to create any Roblox game, why use %?
Is it a motivation thing?

Might be the dumbest thing you’ll hear, but hear me out. 🙏
If you’re a Roblox dev who’s made above $10k, don't wait more than a few days for Anims,VFX,UI,etc...
Once you know how to make games, time becomes the only obstacle.
