๐ŸŽ It's not AR/MR, it's just big screens on your face with some fancy shadows. And you probably don't use it outdoor. The passthrough is nice but it's digital. People don't actually see you and you don't actually see them either.

If HDR on Windows is quirky, how would Adobe Premiere nails it? Edge YouTube works great. Games works great too. It's probably their problem.

Their proxy media generator is useless on Windows because it only supports h.264/h.265 and no DNxHR. h.264/h.265 is GOP and not great for proxy because seeking is very expensive.

๐ŸŽฅ Despite I shoot in SDR, turning them to HDR before coloring feels like processing in floating point vs. integer. The upper ceiling no longer crops out brightness. I wonder how LUT works, they are literally a cube of 0-255 translating RGB values. HDR don't exactly use RGB. ๐Ÿค”

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Mid-side recording is fascinating. I can postprocess stereo width simply by adjusting gains of mid vs. side microphones. L = M S, R = M - S. When combining L R, it become M, meaning it become the original mono image.

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿซ (80% correct) HDR means unlimited brightness. Things can look brighter than #FFFFFF. Content use a brightness value than 0-255. And brightness is standardized across monitor vendors. Thus, your monitor gave up brightness control. The content controls it, including your OS.

Got my Windows Dev Kit 2023. Perf is very good. No issues with WSL2 Node.js VSCode Terminal Discord. OBS is slow but understandable. No Docker Desktop. get.docker.com seems work, didn't try. I don't need Adobe, just Figma. Everything works very well for me.
