This is why it's not enough to have a solution only on the cable. You need to be able to monitor the 12 pin current distribution and be alerted the moment there is an issue with the connection/cable. New PSUs from MSI and CoolerMaster support this, and hopefully others will, too.

Microsoft is adding Advanced Shader Delivery support in more games. When I tested this a few weeks ago, I found a significant reduction in load times and/or smoother perf in most games tested. Only exception was Silent Hill f.

DLSS 4 vs DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction. Good comparison here. The new Transformer model for ray reconstruction offers a pretty noticeable improvement in image quality with similar performance.

Phison PCIe Gen6 controller spec'd for 28 GB/s of sequential read/write throughput and up to 6.8 million random read/write IOPS while supposedly drawing just 7W. That's pretty good. My Gen5 T700 can draw well over 10W during heavy workloads.

007 First Light is such a fun game. As a long-time fan of the Hitman series, I love the familiar Hitman elements. But there's plenty of new stuff in there, too.
Looking forward to the path tracing update this summer.

First time using an iPhone this past week in almost a decade. Good experience overall, and I really like that apps can take advantage of the Dynamic Island with a persistent presence that provides real-time updates. Very useful for live sports and things like flight tracking.

I tested the GPU Safeguard feature in the new MSI MPG Ai1600TS PSU, which aims to protect the GPU against melting 16-pin connectors. I also looked at the PSU's monitoring capabilities. You can track several PSU metrics in real-time during gameplay.
