Had the opportunity to visit the @ussiowa today as part of @FleetWeekLA representing @OfficialVCCCD & our community. Following our orientation our group was flown by helicopter to the @USSPrinceton about 50 miles of shore. The helicopter ride, duration 90 minutes, was amazing.🧵

The @USSPrinceton is named for the Rev War victories over the British by G. Washington, IMO "the greatest American," in & around the town of Princeton, New Jersey. In 1990 it served as the flagship for the first US Navy visit to the Soviet Union's Pacific port of Vladivostok.👇
