A lot of kids think they are gay, lesbian or bi until they figure out that they’re not. According to your line of thinking, those kids should all be forced to identify as heterosexual until they’re 18 or older.

I’ve just been banned from @Tinder for privately reporting this clearly-a-man, asking for an option for lesbians to opt out of trans women. As they are male. I made the request privately, I didn’t contact this individual, I have not been hateful. But I’m banned for life.

Right. And some people’s tastes and preferences include both men and women. Your preferences are your own. (And frankly, the “exclusively to cis men comes off as bigoted and transphobic. But that’s another conversation.) I’ve always identified as gay. But my tastes and preferences in who I’m attracted to (body type, cis/trans/enby) started one way and have evolved. Doesn’t change how I identify. I think ur missing the point of the original post. It’s NOT YOUR PLACE to say someone is or isn’t gay if they have attractions to a more diverse group than you do. Maybe you could do with a little evolution. Again… bless ur heart.

I hope you'll still feel the same way if you later find out they're your daughter instead. Note: not saying I hope your child is trans, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
